Dopo aver registrato insieme alla Parco della Musica Jazz Orchestra, “Argentina Escenas en Big Band”, disco di arrangiamenti per big band delle sue composizioni, Girotto ci presenta “Suix”, inciso assieme all’Atem Saxophon Quartet: composizioni originali riprese dalla band storica degli “Aires Tango” e nuove composizioni arrangiate per l’Atem Sax Quartet.
Il quartetto di sassofoni, un ensemble di natura cameristica, si combina perfettamente con i sassofoni soprano e baritono di Javier Girotto, con i flauti andini e altri strumenti, riuscendo ad amalgamarsi ai ritmi folcloristici, al tango, alla musica classica e contemporanea e al jazz, dando nuovo vigore alla fantasia compositiva dell’argentino.
