The Parco della Musica hosts more than 300 business events every year: conventions, congresses, product lunches, incentives, meetings, with an average of about 1,000 participants each event. Every year, the Italian most important companies and multinationals choose the Auditorium to make their events.
Designed by Renzo Piano, the complex is composed of 4 concert halls, respectively of 308, 673, 1,133 and 2,742 seats, each equipped with control room and audio system, 3 rehearsal rooms of 160 sqm, the big Cavea of 2,782 seats, very well-known red carpet of the International Film Festival of Rome, the exhibition area of indoor 3,000 sqm on two floors (indoor car parking is not in use today) that can be set up as a photographic studio or to show the congress stands.
Halls are connected one another from a ring-shaped path and an internal driveway to facilitate the loading and unloading operations of technical equipment and instruments.
The Auditorium also provides other halls of different sizes, from 20 to 200 seats, 20 dressing rooms for artists, and wide open-air areas, as the hanging gardens of 4 hectares (one of the largest in Europe) where there is also a playground for children, and the pedestrian area of 1,200 sqm where the Greenhouse stands, a glass and steel space of 300 sqm equipped with air conditioning and texture curtains.
In the heart of Parco della Musica there are also the remains of an ancient Roman villa from the 6th century BC with the related museum and the MUSA, the Museum of Music Instruments of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia that owns one the most important Italian collections of instruments.
